Hello,
We woke to beautiful sky’s here in Lukla today after yesterday’s rain, and Jilie and Daniel have made it safely back to Kathmandu! We had a very successful and safe trek and climb this spring and I hope you’ll be joining us in the fall! Thanks to everyone on the trekking team and Island peak climb for making this a fun trip. Also we couldn’t do it without all of the help from our Nepali and Sherpa staff!!!!

Lukla
Hi everyone,
We made it to Lukla today with just a short two hour hike from Phakding. Yesterday we left Namche, immediately descended the big hill and then leveled out for the most part a couple more hours to Phakding. It’s warm down here, the oxygen is thick, our appetites are up and we are feeling tired but happy to be back in Lukla safely and done with the hiking! If the weather is clear tomorrow morning, Daniel and Julie will fly to Kathmandu to finish the trip. It’s a little foggy here in Lukla at the moment and the planes have stopped flying but we are optimistic that the morning will be clear as it usually is. I’ll send one more cybercast tomorrow after they have flown out. It’s been a great trip!
